Best place in midwest for vacation other than Chicago?

Planning for a unique getaway for the weekend to take my newly wed wife. Any creative thoughts?
I live in Chicago, Willing to travel up to 5 hours.
Check out Put-In Bay in lake Erie. Its lots of fun and there are condos and stuff you can rent so no camping. Not sure if it’s in a 5 hour distance though. Hope you have fun!
