Vacation to Texas and Weather?
Okay so my boyfriend and I are going to Texas early March and I was wondering because we will be in Houston if Jamacia Beach is a good place to go and will it be to cold to swim. If it would be too cold I would still like to go out to the beach since my boyfriend has never seen the ocean. What would anyone recommend?
I have a dear friend with a house in Jamaica Beach & visit often. It’s my favorite part of Galveston as it is pretty far down from the crowded beaches. There is a deli & a Subway so you will have to drive back towards Galveston proper to find good restaurants, Charlie’s Hamburgers is a great hamburger place before Galveston & check out Fish Tales for some good seafood if you go into town.
Stop at the Galveston Walmart on the Seawall (I know but everyone shops there!) for groceries on your way for the best prices on everything.
There is a convenience store/gas station & liquor store at the entry to Jamaica Beach in case you forget anything.
Yes, it will be to cold to swim without a wetsuit but walking on the beach should be beautiful.
