Do guys wear speedo (brief-syle) swimsuits in Martinique?
I’m headed to the French island of Martinique for vacation and was wondering whether in Martinique, as in France, speedos are the norm, or if it is like other Caribbean isles where American-style swim shorts are more common. I don’t mind at all trying a speedo, in fact I’d really like to, but I just want to be prepared. Thanks!

I would say American-style is the norm having been to many different Caribbean islands (Martinique being an exception.) However, I was recently in Jamaica and I saw several men wearing speedos.
I would say wear what you are comfortable with. If you wouldn’t mind wearing a speedo, then by all means wear one. I think everyone is on holiday to have a good time, not to judge anyone.
