vacation las vegas

I want to vacation in Las Vegas, does anyone know the best time to go?
I am just wondering if the pricing of airfares and hotels are affected, if you do not go at the right time. Or do the prices remain the same the year around?
If you want to go to Vegas and get the best deal you have to do some shopping. In general, hotel prices in Vegas are highest in Spring and Fall. The highest prices are on New Years eve.
Prices for hotels go down in the summer when its hot, starting in mid to late June until early Sept. They go down again in November, especially after Thanksgiving and , except new years, until maybe mid or end of January.
All of the hotels have a hotel calendar with prices shown (some of these are just crazy because they show a different price for each day.) But you can shop hotel price anyway for the best price. A good price is somewhere around $90 a day or less in the low season. I think the best spot on the strip is the corner where the Flamingo, Bally, Ceasers Palace hotels are located.
Look at the hotel calendars and the shop for air fares to get there when prices are best for you. Prices are always $30-40 higher, or more, on Friday and Saturday nights. Thus, we alwasy plan our visits to start on Sundays or Mondays and leave by Fridays
Flight, at least from RDU, are best during the week, but not bad on Sundays and Mondays. We usually get a R/T for about $250, on SW or American, or America West. You gotta shop and book 30 to 45 days early for the best fares.
