How much is a speeding ticket violation 1180B Albany NY if I plead guilty?
I was pulled over on I-87 South on my way home from vacation. I was clocked doing 79 in a 55. Regardless,I will admit I was speeding, but ironically my passenger and I were just discussing how we didnt know the speed limit. I live in CT and the general limit here is 65mph. I have a clean record, but now I have a ticket that says I have to go to court. I’ve never done this before…what do I do?
I don’t know about New York but I got one in CA and this is what I did. My ticket was for 175 bucks. I dressed up nice and went to court. Plead Guilty. The Judge knocked 100 buck off my ticket. I then went and took driving school (one day class about 8 hours on a Saturday). And the ticket was removed from my record. Ta Da. Hope that was similar enough to NY to help. Good Luck.
