I sold my business six weeks ago. Am I still responsible for unpaid vacation time?
The new owner of the business doesn’t provide the employees with paid vacation. When I was owner we had paid vacation which was part of the employees handbook (contract). Am I still responsible to pay for their unused vacation or does all that fall to the new owner?
Not your responsibility – you personally didn’t give the employees vacation time, the business did, so the business is responsible,not you.
