vacation alexandria egypt
So im coming to EGYPT & will be visiting CAIRO,GIZA,&ALEXANDRIA…SOO?

So i will be there for 2 weeks..What things do you feel a person not from there should do ..to have a good time..My son & i plan to see the pyramids, musuems,City stars mall {looks amazinggg} umm so like what other things can we do for funn??? I think the best answer would come from someone who lives there or had vacationed there..Thanks ;0)

Of course you will go and see the pyramids ( bring a hat if you go in the day time it gets very hot ) and while you are there you can enjoy a camel ride, take pictures, see the Sphinx.
If you can you should get a tour guide who could show you the different things to see in Cairo because there are so many things that are beautiful and interesting and historical it is hard to do it on your own when you don’t know the city. If you can’t then there are specific spots that are the usual tourist destinations, you should go to the Cairo Citadel it has a fantastic view of the city and the history is very interesting, you can go inside the Mohamed Ali Mosque where there will be a lot of other tourists looking around, of course it is a religious monument so you should dress conservatively and respectfully while in there, though covering your head is not a must. Cairo Tower is a nice spot to go to get another view of the City , it is the tallest building in Cairo. Check out some more of the spots in Islamic Cairo, the architecture is unique, and so beautiful. You can go to the Khan El Kalili market, it is one of the oldest markets in the world, and it is easy to get there, any cab driver would know where it is. There is a little mini version of it in the City Stars Mall which is fantastic btw, everything you need is in there, but it’s not going to give you a feel of authentic Egypt if that’s what your looking for, it is just a beautiful enormous mall. Khan el Kalili is very authentic with an abundance of souvenirs for friends and family and nice decorations for you to take home with you. I would definitely go to a perfume factory if you have time, again a tour guide would know best where to take you, but there are various ones all over Cairo, and the scents there are outstanding, they can show you how they make the perfume, you can sit down and have a smell testing session, purchase the ones you like, and your guaranteed nobody back home has it :P they also show you how they make the beautiful glass perfume bottles that you can also purchase, it’s definitely interesting and a lot of fun ( especially if you are a perfume fanatic like myself !) As you said the Museum is a must, has so much history and you could spend a long time in there so you should definitely go.At night you can get on a cruise ship on the Nile, enjoy a dinner, and some traditional Egyptian culture, through belly dance, and a few other types of traditional dance and performance that are really interesting, it would be a nice evening. You will be totally in awe of how many things you will pass that you think, omg.. i wish i can jump out of the car and go explore that, there really are just endless things to see so you will be in no shortage of what to do, believe me ! You didn’t say you will be going to Luxor :( which is actually the most amazing for the historical sites, the temples are unbeatable and the valley of the kings is amazing, and totally mesmerizing, if you somehow could go, i would so recommend it. I don’t feel the Egypt trip is complete unless you go to Luxor, but if not this time there is always next time right :)
Take care and have the time of your life !
