Studying and living in England?
I am hoping to become an architect in the United Kingdom, preferably in England. Right now, I am only a freshman in high school, but I am trying to plan all of my options out. I live in the United States, and I would like to study at a university in England. Does anybody know how long it takes to become an architect in the UK? And could someone please tell me a bit about living in England? My family can not afford to go on vacation there, so I can’t experience it for myself. What are some differences in the way Americans talk and the way the British talk? Any other general information would be very useful and I would greatly appreciate it.
Living in England is quite expensive, the uni’s alone will cost you abou £3000!
However you can get student loans to pay for these things that you don’t have to pay back until your earning loads of money and then only slowly, after 25 years they get written off forever : )
Firstly do some research! Visit websites of all the unis (Leeds, Liverpool, Wales, Manchester etc) you want to attend, or look at the UCAS course list:

English in the UK is different from the USA, people have very different accents in different areas, it may be hard to understand people with geordie, scouse, west country, yorkshire, glaswegian, northern accent as you travel from region to region.
We drive on the left. People appologise constantly for every tiny mistake. everyone talks about the weather. alcohol is legal when you are 18, so…. WHEEEEEEY!
