top vacation beaches
Where would you rather vacation Placencia or Ambergis Caye, Belize?
Group of 8 looking for a top notch resort area – not into diving at all. Just looking for fabulous resorts and great beaches. Where in Belize would you recommend?
I’ve been to Ambergris Caye twice and stayed at the Mata Chica. http://www.matachica.com/belize/index.php I loved it! The Mata Chica is a fabulous resort! Very private and quiet. Lots of the guest are into diving so they are gone for the day and you get the place to yourself. You have to take a boat to get downtown but the food and atmosphere at MC is so good you won’t want to leave. I passed by Victoria House and it was nice, but I prefer individual bungalows on the beach. Just so you know, the resorts downtown are neck in neck.
I haven’t been to Placencia but it’s next on my list! It looks really quiet.
