vacation young children
Looking for vacation suggestions with younger children in mind?
We are a family of 4. An 8 and 7yr old. What I have in mind is nature oriented…either camping/lodging in a nice park or the beach since my family has never been. I would prefer to keep the vacation on the less expensive side. I would also prefer it to be on the east side of the country. Any suggestions?
We live in Southeast Indiana.
I would highly recommend the Gatlinburg, TN area…Great Smoky National Park is absolutely beautiful, and there are hiking trails for every level of expertise. There are also camp sites available. Gatlinburg is nearby and has something for every age. I recommend the Ripley’s Believe it or not aquarium and Ober Gatlinburg. We always have a fantastic time there, we love it so much, we actually got married there five years ago and have been back twice!
