orlando vacation villas
We are doing an Orlando vacation in October. I need some help planning our itinerary.?

We have 7 full days. We are renting a villa and will have a rental car so we are not comitted to staying at disney. We want to experience as much as possible during the stay but want to enjoy each day as best we can also. We are thinking a day at each of the following Universal/Islands of Adeventure, Sea World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Busch Gardens and then a day at Cocoa Beach/Kennedy Space Center. Not in any order but this is what we have so far.
I know it sounds like we have a good start but looking for suggestions as to what order and if you would make any changes to this. THANK YOU.
I forgot to add that we have 3 kids; age 13 and twins at age 9.

Wow, that is a lot! Well, here’s my thoughts. Universal does have two parks, which you know. Depending on the time of year you are going, you might very well be able to cover both of those parks in one day. I do it all the time – especially if you don’t want to see all the shows, which they have several of in Universal Studios. Islands is actually a pretty small park.

Sea World – personally, I am not a fan. It has always struck me as an overpriced aquarium with a couple of good rides. However, if your family really enjoys animals and aquariums, it might be a good choice for you. It would also be kind of something different to put in between some of the other theme parks.

Animal Kingdom – also not a big fan. It is my least favorite Disney park. But I am guessing that your family must enjoy animals since you have also put it on your list. I would just suggest that you don’t do it on consecutive days with Sea World – break it up a little.

Busch Gardens – never been, it’s a pretty good drive from Orlando. Cocoa Beach – also a good choice. We usually go here a day to do something different from the theme parks.

Magic Kingdom is my favorite park – if you have small children, you might want to consider 2 days here. It has the most to do and is generally the busiest, so therefore takes a lot of time!
