vacation chicago il
My family and I are driving to New York (Niagara Falls area) from Chicago, IL and back, for a vacation?

in August. Where are some interesting places to stop on the way, and when we get there? What are some good places to eat at?

Web sites would be helpfull.

I second the Anchor Bar or Duffs in Buffalo if you want to try real Buffalo wings. If you are into the fun touristy stuff in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, there is Clifton Hill which has a Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, a Guinness World Records Museum, and other similar attractions. And if you don’t have young children or have someone to watch them, you can go to the Casinos (they won’t let anyone under age 19 even step inside).
I assume you are going to the Niagara Falls as well. The one thing not to miss there is the Cave of the Winds. It is a walk underneath the middle waterfall, the Bridal Veil, and is a very cool experience. There is also the Maid of the Mist, a boat ride.
If you enjoy amusement parks, Paramount Canada’s Wonderland is near Toronto and also very fun. In Toronto as well are Broadway shows and good shopping.
