Huntington Beach CA info plz?
Ok so we moved out to the west coast and I’m trying to find a good vacation beach. We usually went to Ocean City MD. I’m looking for an affordable hotel or condo(to rent for a week) thats beach side and not too much money. Maybe a balcony to the beach.
I’ve heard this is a great beach to go to but I’ve never actually been there. I’m assuming theres a board walk and all of the other things there is at a regular beach.
So if anyone has any review of this beach or any other good area for a family vacation. Reviews of any kind are welcome. thanx!
Or would it be better to go to san diego b/c i heard they have a great zoo and aquarium. Is the beach and boardwalk better.
San Diego has Sea World and the San Diego Zoo is fantastic…but it is not cheap. San Diego is also a much bigger city with traffic. San Diego’s gaslamp area has a lot of cool shops and restaurants too. San Diego is also more spread out so it is more time to get from place to place. They do not have a traditional boardwalk.
Huntington Beach is a great city and it’s main street is fun. The pier is great too. The beach is beautiful. Also nearby Huntington Beach is Balboa Island (you can drive to it). Balboa has a more traditional boardwalk with arcades, rides, stores and restaurants. It is about 10 minutes from Huntington Beach.
If you are active and want to see and do things I would suggest San Diego. If you want to relax by the beach and take things slow I would say Huntington. Another thing to consider is to stay in Huntington and drive to San Diego for the attractions. It is about a 1.5-2 hour drive depending on traffic.
