business vacation calendars
Does 30 day notice include business days, or calendar day?
I work for a non profit do to faulty dealings. The management is negative and insane. I no longer agree w/ the direction that the agency is heading. We are required to now sign a gossip policy because of managements insecurity. I didn’t sign it since mgmnt are the biggest gossip offenders. I am required to give 30 days notice. Does that include calendar days of business days. Also I have almos 100 hrs of vacation and 25 hrs of sick. What happens to that I wonder?
Calendar days. You’ll probably get paid for vacation but not the sick days. That’s how it works at my job. Check your employee handbook. Don’t be surprised if you don’t get either if they want you to sign a gossip policy (which is illegal) If you really want your sick and vacation, sign the policy then get sick for a couple of days in the next couple of weeks, schedule your vacation days-(lie and say you won a vacation take your two weeks and don’t come back from vacation,
