Famous Hollywood comedian Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy got engaged last May of this year. Showbiz news has it that present boyfriend and fiancé Michael Strahan proposed to Nicole Murphy during their vacation last May in the Bahamas. Strahan is a popular National Football League star. Nicole Mitchell Murphy is a California model who got divorced from his first husband Eddie Murphy in April 2006. When Strahan proposed, he give the comedian’s ex-wife a canary yellow and white diamond ring.
Strahan said that Nicole is a great girl and that their relationship is doing good. He further said that he is happy being with Nicole and shares similarities in their passion for travel, fun, and exploration. Nicole also told the press that it is with Strahan that she finds all the qualities of a man that she needs.
Nicole and Eddie Murphy were married for about 12 years and has five children. The divorce was said to be caused by irreconcilable differences between the couple. After the divorce Nicole sought for child and spousal support from the comedian. Both Eddie and Nicole said that the divorce was for the benefit and the best interest of their five children.
It was however suspected before that the exact reason for their break-up was due to an incident wherein the comedian was stopped by a police and caught with a transsexual prostitute inside his car. However, the actor-comedian was not arrested because he defended himself to have been offering a ride to a stranger.
